B/General (Ret) Steven M. Anderson
Named Advanced Technology Systems Co. (ATSC) V.P of Business Development/Federal Programs
Mclean, Va., March 21, 2019 - ATSC is pleased to welcome Brigadier General Steven M. Anderson (U.S. Army-Ret.) as our new Vice President of Business Development, Federal Sector. In this role, General (Gen.) Anderson will serve on the ATSC Executive team providing leadership and working with management to develop corporate strategies for business development and aligning company growth plans and priorities with current and future USG needs.

Gen. Anderson retired in April 2010 after a 31-year career in the US Army that included logistics command and staff assignments in Korea, Iraq, Kuwait, Afghanistan, Germany, Hawaii, and four tours in the Pentagon. His most notable military assignment were serving under General Petraeus as the Deputy Chief of Staff and Logistics for the Multi-National Force in Iraq for 15 months (Aug 06 – Nov 07). From 2004-2006 he served as the Senior Logistics Staff Officer for the US Forces in Korea. His final active duty assignment was Director of Army Logistics Operations and Readiness in the Pentagon.
Since his retirement in 2010, Gen. Anderson has served as a director for the Ultralife Corporation (ULBI), a publicly traded battery and communications equipment manufacturer based in Rochester, NY. He is a minority owner of Relyant Global LLC, a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) based in Knoxville, Tennessee, that specializes in munitions response, environmental remediation, construction, and expeditionary support a. From April 2016 thru March 2018, he served as the Northern Afghanistan Country Manager for the Army’s $800M/year LOGCAP contract, leading a workforce of 6,500 Fluor employees providing all logistics support to US and NATO forces on eleven operating bases.
Gen. Anderson is a 1978 graduate of the United States Military Academy and was awarded a Master of Science degree in Operations Research and Systems Analysis Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School in 1987. A graduate of the US Army War College and the Marine Command and Staff College, his military awards include the Distinguished Service Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster and the Bronze Star. In November 2013, he was elected into the US Army Ordnance Hall of Fame.
